Learning through Play Montessori Day Care and After School Care

The Learning through Play Montessori Day Care and After School Care is an Accredited program located in the Rutherford School. Established in 1986, the childcare philosophy adopted by the Centre is based on Montessori. Care is provided for children from the ages of 19 months to 6 years in the Daycare room, and for students from Grade 1 – 6 in the After School Care room. Mrs. Murji, the founder of the day care, believed in the concept that “it takes a village to raise a child”, hence the Centre operates on an open door and open communication policy and encourages a strong partnership between the Day Care, parents, the Rutherford School and the neighborhood community. Bonnie Doon Playschool (Off-Site)

Bonnie Doon Playschool is a parent cooperative playschool located in Idylwylde Community League. The program allows children (from 2 to 5 years old) to learn and explore through a combination of play based activities and daily routines. Discovery Daycare (Off-Site)

A place for fun and learning, Discovery Daycare is located on the corner of 87 Ave. and 91 Street. It is an accredited daycare and has been owned and operated by Josie Lauzon since October 15, 1999. Care is provided for infants to kindergarten age. Please feel free to visit their facility. Their hours are from 7:00 am to 6:00 pm. Phone: 780.468.3475.
